Sunday Stash July 28, 2024 from Quilt Paint Create

I didn’t add any fabric this week, although I had many buying opportunities. I finished the shirt for almost a yard out. All the shirt details will be in a separate post.

We went to the Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild Quilt Show yesterday. Hundreds of great quilts, plus a gift shop and vendors. If you live in the area, the shows continues today from 11am – 5pm at Washtenaw Community College.

While we were out and about after the show, I found a screen printing screen at a thrift shop. That was a first. I’ve wanted to learn ...

Sunday Stash July 21, 2024 from Quilt Paint Create

No change in the numbers.

Yesterday was the Guild meeting, which meant a jaunt through the thrift stores. The only thing I bought quilting related was this book.

Yes, that $0.50 tag is what I paid for it. Gotta love a good thrift store.

I’m still working on the same projects with the typical slow progress. I’m hoping to finish the shirt soon.

Sunday Stash November 14, 2021 from Quilt Paint Create

Thanks to everyone who left a comment in the last post about the mystery notion. I enjoyed learning all the ways I can use it. What a great find!

The stash numbers are all over the place this week. Either everything moves or nothing moves here.

I used 1.25 yards of fabric making kitchen curtains. I picked the pattern up at the thrift a couple weeks ago and I’m thrilled to have used it so quickly.

I also received a box from my sister with a large cut of flannel in it. I’ll use it to make ...

Picture Challenged from Quilt Paint Create

I need to learn to take selfies.
I tried taking a picture of me wearing the shirt, but it’s that funky kind of overcast here and it didn’t work out well.
altered blouseIt washed up nice and turned out the way I envisioned it. Now it just needs to get warm enough to wear it. I may add a stitch at the top to cut back on the cleavage. Either that or wear a tank under it.
I’ve really missed the thrift stores during the quarantine. I hope to make it to one this weekend now that they ...

Thrift Refashion Peasant Blouse from Quilt Paint Create

I bought this blouse at the thrift late last year.
peasant blouseIt’s a petite medium and I am a not petite small.
It’s a little big in the shoulders, but I can live with it. Because the sleeves have elastic, I can position them above my elbows . They look fine and are comfortable.
There was also elastic at the bottom. When I positioned it at my waist, the shirt was very full and too short. This was not a good look on me. I picked out a small section of the casing seam, cut the elastic and removed it ...
